22/03/22 – COVID SPRING BOOSTER VACCINATIONS

A fourth phase of the COVID vaccination programme is commencing this week. All patients over 75 and those who are under 75 and clinically extremely vulnerable will be able to receive a vaccination. It has been decided by NHS England and Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group that most GP practices will not be providing these vaccinations. They will be completed at mass vaccination sites and some local pharmacies. Housebound patients and residents of care homes will be able to obtain a vaccination but these will be completed by an organisation other than the practice. NHS England will be writing to all eligible patients in the coming weeks. Please do not call the practice to enquire about or book an appointment. Many thanks.

SEPTEMBER 2021 – NEW SALARIED GP

We are delighted to welcome a new salaried GP to the practice. Dr Katie Collins has joined our clinical team and will be working on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Please join us in welcoming Dr Collins to the practice.

We are delighted to welcome our new Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Jeff Pond, to our clinical team. Jeff started at the practice at the beginning of August 2021 and brings with him a wealth of clinical experience and has specialist training in diabetes management.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE USE OF FACE COVERINGS IN THE PRACTICE FROM 27TH JANUARY 2022**

Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make our two surgeries as safe as possible for our patients and staff. We will continue to do this and from the 27th January nothing will change whilst on our premises. Patients will still need to wear a mask/face covering, socially distance and use hand sanitiser and all our patient facing staff will continue to wear PPE. We do understand that it can be frustrating but we know that when patients come to us they may be sick and vulnerable. Some cannot receive the COVID vaccine due to medical reasons so we feel it would be wrong to not continue with these small precautions that can help to protect the patients and staff. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
